Wrapping Up The Week In Photos

My Gym

This week was a good week. A busy week. But maybe even a great week. Even if part of it involves being sick.

My April goal of increasing my mileage is still going well.

Little Bug

I spent time with my nephew. Playing cars. Jabbered about toddler curiousness. And picked flowers in my garden for his mama.

Top of The Hill

And I did it. Yes. I ran to the top of my favorite mountain trail. The trail is longer then I remembered. Literally. And a heck of a lot easier then I had made it out to be in my head. I was completely in my zone. Running is great on pavement. But trail running is f-ing a-may-zing. It was my most favorite moment. Or series of moments this week!

Heart Rock

I had a job interview. And I think I rocked it. Okay. I know I rocked it. Despite overwhelming apprehension about going to it. Although I realized most of my apprehension wasn’t actually about the interview itself. It was trying to picture adding a full-time job into the mix of things. I am not sure how I feel about that. Should I be offered the position, things will get pretty interesting around here. To say the least.

Run Away!

I tried to sweat away feeling flu and cough yuckiness on my mountain trail. Not one of my best ideas. A cough and running uphill are a terrible combination. And I have been in bed since. My cough seems to be doing a little better today, but I am still running a temperature. So I will most likely skip the Easter celebration at my parents.

Tiny Green Heart

And that is some of the moments from my week. Now it’s back to resting for me. And finishing up this week’s assignments. Happy Easter to you! And I hope the Easter bunny was very good to you. And stay tuned for a couple of reviews. Connecting hearts around the world. And more. Yes. I am still behind on posts. I am working on being okay with that.

What are you doing to celebrate Easter Sunday?

Do you prefer running on pavement or dirt?

What was your favorite moment of this week?

Until next time, always be true to yourself and think like a boss!

  1. I have no doubt that you nailed that job interview, Boss, and I trust that you will make the best decision for you and your family regarding whether or not to add a full-time job into the mix, Now, take good care of yourself, as you will have more mountains to climb. Get well soon!

  2. We’re heathens. We don’t celebrate Easter. πŸ˜‰

I just prefer running these days. Wouldn’t matter the surface. But, my first week of cycling was a success. Tuesday and Thursday after work rides book-ended by two Sunday morning rides. This morning’s was 30 miles. Now, I just have to continue the commitment to those Tuesday-Thursday rides.

    Good luck with your interview.

  3. Happy Easter to you too!!! I’m sorry you have the flu. I’m amazed you ran up a mountain with the flu!!! Okay. You’re right, not a great idea, but it is amazing. Get better!!!! Have a good week.

  4. I prefer trails, but do most of my running on roads, only because roads are generally more convenient.
Easter was low key and I loved it. Early morning run and breakfast out, then lots of lounging around.
Congrats on making it to the top!
    Feel better soon.

    • I have been running on the road more lately because of the convenience, but it sure is nice to steal away some extra time for the trails! πŸ™‚
We ended up going to my parents for Easter, after lots of lounging around, it was nice! Hoping I am past the worst of not feeling well, but still not quite all better today, thank you! πŸ™‚

  5. Love the trails but most of my running is on asphalt in the campgrounds. I have my first competitive 5K on Saturday, the first trail 5K for me. Should be fun, but cold, I think around 45 degrees F. Easter was good, went to sister Tammy’s home and saw some family, the kids are always fun to watch. Stepped in cat poo three times while hiding eggs. My fav moment of the week was with my Michael. We connect! Thanks for this post!
