The Versatile Blogger Award

Versatile Blogger Award

A heartfelt thank you to Pandora of at I’m Going Slightly Mad for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger award! If you haven’t already, go visit her blog, there is always something interesting going on over there and you will not be disappointed!

The rules:

  1. Display the award on your blog-done
  2. Announce the win with a post and link it back to your nominator as a ‘thank you’-done
  3. Present 15 awards to those of your choosing-done
  4. Post 7 things about yourself
  1. I have a “thing” about my truck being clean, once a week it gets a bath
  2. I was on the way to the store and a little stressed a couple years back and saw a chocolate lab in the middle of the road. I was so mad my pup had wandered that far, I put her in the back of my truck and brought her home! Only to open my garage and see my own chocolate lab. Nonetheless I returned the dog to its rightful owners and thank goodness they have since moved, I have no doubt they thought I was a little crazy.
  3. I am an always there to help someone person, unfortunately my kindness gets taken advantage of sometimes and it hurts.
  4. I live near the heart of California’s wine county and have never been wine tasting. It’s on my list of things to do!
  5. I can’t decide on a half marathon race and I need to commit
  6. One of my favorite desserts is fresh fruit
  7. I spend 2 hours a day driving Buckaroo back and forth to school. Why? It’s the next best thing to private school.
  8. Alert your nominees of their award status- I will be working on it!

Now for my least favorite part of these awards, choosing nominees! But the part  that I do like about them is I have discovered some awesome blogs along the way with these awards. Soooo, check these pretty awesome people out! And in no particular order, here we go!

    • She’s a sweetheart and has definitely been a wonderful running, camping, fishing, hunting, family pup!

I am looking at one in San Francisco on Nov 3rd but the hills have me spooked losing so much training. Otherwise there is one @the end of September in Healdsburg CA, but again with the hills! Maybe I just need to go for it!? But I haven’t done any hills since my injury and haven’t been given the “go” just yet to give them a try? Otherwise I am still looking, I would like the race to be fairly close to home, since going away the whole weekend isn’t in the cards just yet with school. 🙂

      • I’ve never understood why people would want to run a half or full marathon in S.F. 🙂 The thing about Sacramento is that there are halfs or fulls somewhere close by almost every month of the year.

      • The hills look/are brutal! My sis lives there so it would be a wonderful source for extra support and post race recovery should I need it before the ride home. 🙂

I will look for ones in Sac. do you recommend a certain site? I can’t remember the name of the one I look on, it’s bookmarked on my comp.

      • Check out Capital Road Race Management. They run almost all of the runs in the area. Urban cow is at the beginning of October but you don’t have permission to run that until 2014 when I can too. 😉 there’s also come thing in Clarksburg, which is just south of Sac at the end of October. The Clarksburg has just about every distance available.

  1. You deserved the award! I always look forward to reading your latest posts and seeing your amazing photos.

It’s awful that people take advantage of your kindness. Next time, point them out to me and I’ll beat ’em up.

    • Thank you so very much!

People sure can be thoughtless sometimes, I sure will! 😉

I was just thinking, I use Arnice cream for sore muscles, my neck during a migraine, strains etc. I wonder if it would work to rub on your foot? Also soaking it in Epsom salt? I know why I didn’t think of those things to try earlier!
